Two Inmates Escape Florida Prison

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Florida Department of Corrections officials are searching for two inmates who escaped from separate facilities.

Authorities say 38-year-old Shawn E. Washington walked away from the West Palm Beach work release program at 12:37 a.m. Friday.

The Palm Beach Post reports Washington was convicted on burglary and grand theft charges in Lee County and was scheduled to be released in February. He has a tattoo that reads “Koolaid” on his right arm.

State officials say Justin Moutinho escaped from the Tarpon Springs work release camp about 1 a.m. Friday. No further details were immediately available.
