Two people have been hospitalized after what Citrus County deputies are calling a “possible home invasion.”
The Citrus County Police Department reports their dispatchers received a call around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a home invasion at 3482 N. Page Ave. in Hernando.
When deputies arrived, they found two people injured inside the home. They were both taken to Ocala Regional for treatment. Right now, detectives and forensic technicians are still on scene interviewing witnesses inside the home and neighbors.
Deputies are looking for suspects involved, but do not believe nearby residents are in any danger. At this time, investigators do not believe this was a random incident. The relationship between the homeowners and suspects is unknown.
