Two Firefighters Injured Battling Valrico Blaze

 

 

(UPDATE 1:30 p.m.) One of two injured firefighters has been released from the hospital after being treated for heat exhaustion. The other is in fair condition. But there is no word what his injury is.

Earlier:

Two Hillsborough County firefighters are hospitalized for injuries they got while battling a Valrico storage facility fire this morning.

One firefighter is suffering from heat exhaustion. There is no word what happened to the other.

Meantime, crew continue to try and douse the stubborn flames, made more difficult to battle by the design of the building at Extra Space Storage at Highway 60 and Miller Road.

Investigators will move in after the last flames are extinguished to determine what sparked the blaze.
