Four people are injured after an out of control car slammed into an 18 wheeler parked on the Howard Frankland Bridge shoulder.
Authorities say the trucker was stopped to check his trailer when he saw the car coming and leapt over the wall and into Tampa Bay below.
The car sustained major damage from the impact with the rig, injuring three people inside.
The trucker treaded water until firefighters rescued him.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
