Three Tampa lawyers are fighting to keep their careers in a local court room.
That’s where a judge is deciding if attorneys Stephen Diaco, Robert Adams, and Adam Filthaut set up a rival attorney in the so-called “Shock Jock” trial for a DUI.
Attorney Philip Campbell says the trio got one of their paralegals to buy him drinks and then ask him to drive her home.
A Tampa police officer who was in on the ruse then pulled Campbell over and arrested him for drunken driving. That officer was later fired for his role.
Campbell believes his DUI arrest would hurt his credibility and his client in the shock jock trial and help the other side win.
A video of the paralegal admitting she was part of the set up will be played in court.
