A high school teacher in suburban Dallas finds herself at the center of a social media firestorm after her controversial tweets about the shooting of an unarmed teenager and the subsequent unrest in suburban St. Louis.
Vinita Hegwood, who’s African-American, posted a tweet that expressed anger at whites who had questioned her opinions about the events in Ferguson. The violent tone in the posting has school district officials promising “quick action.”
