Texas went to the polls yesterday to settle some races that couldn’t be decided during the March primary election and the results may provide the Tea Party members around the country with a guide book on how to beat establishment Republicans.

The Democrats haven’t won a statewide race in Texas for two decades and the state’s GOP is battling within itself for control of the voters’ favor.

ABC News correspondent Jim Ryan in Dallas has a look at Tuesday’s results, including the outcome of the contest to decide the political career of the oldest person ever to serve in Congress.
