Texas Group Wants Confederate Flag On License Plate

A century-and-a-half after the Civil War, the battle rages on over the Confederate battle flag. The latest volley has been fired by the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which wants to see the “stars and bars” offered on a specialty license plate in Texas.

To date, the State of Texas has refused to allow the plate for fear that the symbol of the South would be offensive. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in the matter.
