Teens Arrested for Bayshore Egging

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Three Tampa teens have been arrested after authorities say they tossed eggs that hit another teen’s face, cutting his pupil.

The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/LAQ4q1 ) reports an egg tossed from a passing SUV hit 17-year-old Noah Grant Sunday night while he was jogging with his twin brother and other members of his high school cross-country team.

A bone near Grant’s right eye fractured and his eye swelled shut.

Tampa police received a tip Monday that a group of teens bought five-dozen eggs from Walmart Sunday night. While in the area, they spotted a white SUV similar to the vehicle witnesses described.

Police spokesman Mark Scott says they determined three teens inside the SUV were involved in the egg throwing incident.

They were arrested on third-degree felony battery charges.
