JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A teenager was shot while riding a bicycle in Jacksonville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened Sunday afternoon.
According to the Florida Times-Union, the boy was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
Sgt. Hector J. Rivera told the newspaper that several shots were fired, but he doesn’t know how many hit the victim. Witnesses saw a car leaving the area.
Rivera didn’t know a motive for the shooting.
An investigation continues.
