Tampa police are investigating a homicide in a hotel near Busch Gardens.
Police say they got a call from Quality Inn Busch Gardens at 4139 East Busch Blvd. around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday where a male victim had suffered upper body trauma.
Deputies say the suspect fled the hotel in a car and is still on the run. Later, a pickup truck believed to be the suspect vehicle was found a mile from the hotel at 27th Street and Busch Blvd.
Police say the two men were staying at the hotel from out of town and worked together. They believe murder was not drug related.
