St. Petersburg Major Crimes Unit Detectives are investigating the shooting death of an 18 year old man Sunday evening.
Jerrod Evan was shot and killed outside Johnie’s food Mart at 1404 16th Street S. in St. Petersburg. He was involved in a verbal altercation with another man. Evans was shot in the upper torso and was transported to Bayfront Medical Hospital where he died.
Investigators say the shots were fired from a car and Monday morning detectives arrested 18 year old Darzaughn Williams. He is charged with accessory after the fact to 2nd degree murder.
Williams was the driver of the car. Police are still looking for the 2nd suspect. The investigation is ongoing and police have viable leads.
