The incident happened at 2:15 a.m. Deputies responded to the scene and located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
As deputies were arriving, they came in contact with the possible suspect fleeing from the scene in his vehicle. According to police, deputies tried to take the suspect into custody when he hit two of their patrol cars, causing severe damage to both vehicles. The deputies are both uninjured.
This incident did not occur at the Hookah Lounge. Someone involved in the incident ran to the club to call 9-1-1.
Detectives believe the cause of this incident may be drug related. The investigation continues.
