A St. Petersburg woman remains in critical condition after apparently being set on fire by her boyfriend overnight. Police say 37 year old John Riggins poured gasoline on Sheron Pasco and set her ablaze at their 24th Avenue South home. Pasco has third degree burns to 60 percent of her body. Riggins is also being treated for burns.

Broward Sheriff’s deputy Santiago Mayorga has his badge yanked after getting arrested for a Pompano Beach hit and run. The 22 year old sideswiped another car with his marked patrol car. Investigators say they found pot at his house and marijuana residue in his patrol car.

A 27 year old man is accused of groping half a dozen people, mostly teenagers, in the wave pool at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park in Orlando. Aman Bhatia tells police he broke his glasses and couldn’t see clearly, so he ended up unintentionally touching people.

The U.S. Air Force apologizes to retired Yankee short stop Derek Jeter, after an airman posted a photo on Facebook showing the 250 dollar ticket Jeter got from Mac Dill security for boating too close to the base on July 4th. The caption read quote—On behalf of the Boston Red Sox, here’s your ticket Derek Jeter. Air Force officials say the airman will be disciplined.

Investigators are looking for what sparked a massive morning fire at the Adams Family Pawn Shop on First Street in Bradenton. No one was injured. The pawn shop was burglarized just three weeks ago, when thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen.

New numbers say this year’s Florida Legislature was the wealthiest ever. 55 of 160 lawmakers in the House and Senate were millionaires. The average House member was worth 1.6 million, while the average Senate member was worth 4.5 million. Experts say wealthier candidates tend to win elections because they can spend more time away from work campaigning and can fund their own campaigns.
