Fire Causes $150K Worth Of Damage To Restaurant

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a reported fire at Domino’s Pizza 1005 North Tampa Street early Wednesday morning.

Around 4:24 a.m., crews discovered the cause of the fire was garbage cans in a semi-enclosed area near the building and began to extinguish the blaze, which was put out in 15 minutes. They continued to inspect the building and surrounding areas to ensure the fire had not spread.

TFR says there were no injuries.

An investigator was called to the scene and completed and incident report, which says that the fire caused moderate damage to the garage of the building and only minor smoke damage to the restaurant.

Estimated damage to the one story concrete block building is $150,000.
