Fire Breaks Out Overnight At Tampa Middle School

An overnight fire broke out Wednesday morning at John Quincy Adams Middle School in Tampa.

Crews responded to the fire at 2:52 a.m. and say it broke out in the main administrative building of the school. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the windows.

No one was injured as no one was inside the school at the time.

Because there was no damage to any of the classrooms, school will start on time Wednesday. The fire does not appear suspicious, fire rescue says.

The principal will notify parents of the fire.
