Jason Wayne Adams, the escaped inmate from Pasco County has been found, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, a Hillsborough County deputy noticed Adams riding his bicycle eastbound on Broadway Avenue at Harris Parkway Place. The deputy pulled over and asked the man for identification and the man verbally identified himself as Jason Adams.

Adams was arrested without incident.

The 27-year-old escaped while he was on road work duty in Lutz Monday night. He told a Department of Corrections officer he was going to the bathroom in the woods when he ran off. Officials searched the area where he had escaped and found his blue prison uniform as well as his Department of Corrections ID.

Then the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office had gotten “additional information” about Adams.

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said at a media press conference Tuesday afternoon that he used cash that he had on him to take a cab to an unknown location. Shortly after said press conference, they found him.

He will now be booked into the Orient Road Jail.
