Ross released a statement Tuesday after the nuclear deal was agreed to Monday night.
“My colleagues and I must ensure the nuclear deal negotiated by the President and Iran does not give Iran any nuclear weapons whatsoever. Under the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, Congressional review of this deal is required before the President can waive or suspend sanctions previously imposed on Iran by Congress. The President’s concessions and lackadaisical attitude toward this nuclear deal are alarming and of great concern to the safety of our nation and our allies. Congress needs to reject any deal presented by the President that does not completely eliminate Iran’s ability to build a nuclear bomb and prevent its access to nuclear weaponry.”
He says he’s “not happy” with the deal. Listen to the full interview below.
