Car Slams Into Tampa Twistee Treat Shop

A hit-and-run investigation is underway at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and New Tampa Boulevard. That’s where police say a car slammed into the Twistee Treat ice cream shop.

The incident happened at 5 a.m. Tuesday. The driver fled the scene on foot and was no where to be found by first responders. The vehicle was impounded as the investigation continues.

No injuries were reported.
