An elementary school student’s show-and-tell grenade has a Hillsborough school up in arms.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says a call from Suncoast Elementary in Spring Hill came in at 10:09 a.m. The caller said the boy was with a principle, who took the grenade away.
The sheriff’s office says that the boy made some “inappropriate statements” while in class and administrators will be speaking with him and his parents.
Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters responded to the school, at 11135 Quality Drive.
