She was a South Tampa socialite, a mother of two, and a talented decorator for stars like as Derek Jeter and now, Wendy Albano, is the focus of an international murder investigation.
Wendy Albano was found stabbed to death in her hotel by a maid in Bangkok, Thailand.
Officials believe Albano was murdered by a business partner she met during a previous trip to India. The two were supposedly working on a fashion import business together. Reports show that she checked into the Fraser Suites Sukhumvit on Feb. 9th and was seen on a hotel surveillance camera entering her room with the man on Sunday evening.
However, detectives said that the surveillance video shows that the suspect was the only one that left Albano’s room, and he left with luggage.
Officials said the suspect had fled Bangkok and remains at large, according to Thai news reports.
The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok notified Albano’s family of her death earlier this week
