Tampa Police say Leon Washington tortured and held his girlfriend hostage for six days.
Authorities said a tip led them to 41-year-old Leon Jorge Washington, who they found hiding in a back room of a mobile home, along Fairview Park Drive in Tampa. He was arrested without incident.
According to authorities, Washington kept his girlfriend captive inside his home, along East Deleuil Avenue. They said he attacked her with an ice pick, and iron, and a knife – causing serious burns and cuts – and also forced her to perform sexual acts.
Washington has at least 10 arrests out of Hillsborough County for a variety of crimes, including drug charges and domestic violence.
Back in 2009, he was charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence.
Washington faces a number of charges and is being held at the Orient Road Jail.
