Tampa Fire Leaves Two Families Without Apartments

An apartment fire caused by “discarded smoking materials” Monday night left nearly $75,000 worth of damage to two units, fire officials said.

No one was injured, but two families were displaced because of damage to their apartments.

Tampa Fire Rescue units responded to a second-floor fire at Terrace Pointe Apartments, located at 11613 N 50th St.

Crews got the fire under control in 20 minutes.
