Police are investigating an armed robbery in Riverview.
According to authorities, at 4:25 a.m. on January 7, an unknown suspect approached the victim who was sitting in his vehicle at the Starbucks located at 3715 Highway 301 S. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money.
The victim stated he didn’t have any money and the suspect escorted him to a nearby McDonald’s, which had an ATM. After receiving the money, the suspect ran westbound behind the Publix.
The victim is a 27-year-old male who works at the Starbucks. The suspect is identified as a black male, 18 – 21 years of age, approximately 5’7″, 130 lbs., no facial hair. Wearing a navy blue hoodie, navy blue pants and black Nike shoes with with swoosh. The pants have yellow writing down the left leg.
