Surf Warnings For Bay Area Beaches

Another day of near record or record temperatures will have many thinking “beach” today.

But forecasters say beware—there’s a high surf advisory until 3 this afternoon and a rip current advisory that goes beyond that.

The general rule is—stay in shallow water and swim near a lifeguard.

Turbulent gulf waters are being caused by the giant winter storm that first socked the Plains before heading to the East Coast.
