Starbucks Announces Delivery Service
If you are ever craving for a fresh cup of coffee from Starbucks, soon you will be able to have the popular beverage delivered to your home. The delivery service will be available in a few select cities in the next upcoming months. The company announces these changes after their recent low quarterly sales, reports the Associated Press.
Currently, Starbucks customers are encouraged to use their app in order to pay for their coffee as well as being able to reload Starbucks cards, and build up points for more Starbucks products. In addition to the delivery service, “Starbucks in December will roll out its new mobile-payment and ordering app in Portland, Ore. that allows customers to walk in a Starbucks store and pick up their order without waiting in line,” reports the Advertising Age.
It has not been officially announced if the delivery service will expand everywhere or just remain in certain areas. Advertising Age also received a quote from CEO Howard Schultz saying, “imagine the ability to create a standing order of Starbucks delivered hot to your desk daily. That’s our version of e-commerce on steroids.”
