St. Petersburg House Fire

Early this morning, St. Petersburg Firefighters were called to a Lakewood Estates home that had flames shooting thorough it’s roof.

When the firefighters arrived at the home, located 4818 Alcazar Way S., at 7:18 a.m. this morning, they  found a one story home with heavy fire and smoke showing from the attic area of the home.

Incident commander, Chief Mike Zamparelli, said that the fire started in the kitchen area and appeared to have burned through the kitchen ceiling, into the attic space and then through the roof.

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the fire limiting fire damage as they searched for possible victims.

Neighbors stated that the owners of the home were out of town. There were no injuries.

Fire investigators are still on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
