St. Pete woman dies after being shot in front of home

ST. PETERSBURG — Officers were investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found laying on her driveway early Friday, police said.

Police arrived at 5263 5th Ave S just before 1 a.m. When they arrived, officers discovered Karen Gunther, 47, sprawled on her driveway with a gunshot wound to her upper body, St. Petersburg police said.
