TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ A dog who wrangled loose cattle for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has been found alive and well after escaping from a moving trailer.
Doc escaped Saturday from his owner’s trailer on I-75 near Sarasota.
The dog, who is the personal pet of agriculture detective Lowell Cain, helps herd loose cows off the roadways.
A witness told authorities that Doc was spotted near where he escaped.
A person was seen tending to the dog’s minor injuries received when he jumped out of the trailer.
On Wednesday, the person who found the dog called the sheriff’s department and returned the 60-pound canine.
