SEMINOLE, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say an elderly Tampa Bay area woman was found dead following a fire at her home.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports that the fire started Wednesday night.
Investigators say 84-year-old Sonja Skemp apparently set her pajamas on fire while lighting a cigarette.
Skemp’s husband was able to escape uninjured, but Skemp was already dead by the time rescue crews arrived.
