Interstate 75 South is closed Monday morning due to a fatal accident at state road 56 in Pasco County. Traffic is being diverted off state road 56. Shortly before 7:00 am, a Dodge Dakota and a semi crashed. At one point the traffic backup extended 10 miles.
You can use US-41 as an alternate route.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed a fatality and haven’t released any other details.
