Police Searching For Bike Stolen From Shop

Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in a burglary that occurred at Village Bikes located at 3898 South Osprey Avenue on Monday morning.

On September 22, 2014 at approximately 7 a.m., the store owner received a phone call from his alarm company advising an alarm has been set off. The store owner asked that officers respond. When the owner arrived, he discovered a Specialized Venge S-Works Bicycle was stolen from the store.

The photo attached is NOT the actual bicycle stolen however it is similar to the bicycle that was stolen.

The actual bike is a specialized brand, Venge S-Works model, 20 speed, carbon fiber with carbon fiber wheels. Black in color.
