Why Does Benderson Park Need Public Funding for Rowing Facility?
The developers of Benderson Park in Sarasota are seeking $11 million from the state of Florida to be used towards improving its rowing facilities. Is this a good idea for taxpayer money to go towards something used by so few? Why not use that money to improve or build new baseball facilities or basketball courts that all people would enjoy?
