Sam’s Club Recalls ‘Simply Right’ Wipes

Sam’s Club Recalls Baby Wipes

Sam’s Club announced that they are recalling their Simply Right baby wipes brands due to a potential outbreak of bacteria. Sam’s Club released a press statement saying, “Our supplier, Nutek Disposables, Inc., has advised us that some Simply Right branded baby wipes offered for sale at Sam’s Clubs beginning June 30th of this year may be contaminated with B. cepacia bacteria.”

While there have been no official reports from customers who bought the wipes, the company is using this recall in order to take extra precautions. They also said in the press statement,  “The safety of our members and their families is a priority at Sam’s Club. As soon as we learned that a limited number of Simply Right baby wipes did not meet our quality standards, we voluntary directed all clubs to remove all Simply Right baby wipes from our shelves and placed an electronic block at our registers so the item can’t be purchased.”

Fox 13 Tampa Bay reported that the company added anyone who currently has the Simply Right baby wipes product should stop using it immediately and return for a full refund.
