St. Petersburg police have arrested the suspect that K-9 Ajax and his handler were tracking when Ajax was bitten by a rattlesnake.
39-year-old Jack Dion has been arrested for loitering and prowling, a misdemeanor.
Police received a tip that a man with muddy clothing was seen leaving the woods near an apartment complex. This was the same area where k9 Ajax was tracking a suspicious man who ran from police and was later bitten by a snake.
Police located the man,Jack Dion, hiding in his apartment at a nearby complex at 501 116th Ave. North, a short time ago. Dion admitted he ran from police earlier in the day.
