A St. Pete police officer was arrested early Monday morning for DUI. Allan McTavish, 51, failed to stop at the red light at Nebraska Avenue and Bearss Avenue.
McTavish was off-duty at the time of the arrest and has been a sworn officer since 1984. He’ll be placed on administrative duties while officers complete an internal investigation.
McTavish reportedly refused a breath test but showed signs of impairment after exiting his vehicle. He was arrested and booked without incident.
