Preliminary information from witnesses indicates that a van was speeding southbound and crashed into a number of cars that were stopped at 38th Ave. S.
One man died, a woman and a child were seriously injured, and three other people are also take into the hospital to be treated. A bystander pulled the child from the van before crews arrived.
Southbound 34th Street will remain closed for several hours due to the investigation. Northbound 34th Street is now open.
