Police in Pinellas Park shut down a scam posing as a telemarketing company. Officials say U.S. Digest LLC on park Boulevard called people all over the country and threatened to end magazine deliveries if they didn’t pay to extend their subscriptions.
There were 17 complaints against the company but authorities only began investigating U.S. Digest LLC whena whistle-blowing ex-employee called.
The owner and several employees face charges.
