At 6:26am, a 16 year-old-girl was discharged from All Children’s Hospital and was being escorted to a Sunstar Ambulance for transport to a mental health facility, when she ran away from the attendant.
The girl was wearing a hospital gown and socks. She was able to make her way to a halfway house and found someone to give her clothing. She also met a 24-year-old man.
A K-9 was able to track her to a general location. But when an officer approached her and the man, he made up a story and claimed she was with him.
At 7:21, officers took her into custody. The 24-year-old man, identified as Evan Field, was charged with obstruction.
