Barricaded Man In Custody, Faces Child Abuse Charges

The St. Petersburg SWAT team was called out early Monday morning to deal with a barricaded man. The incident happened in the area of 28th Street and 13th Avenue North.

According to police, the man argued with his wife, fired a shot, then fled to his neighbor’s home. The wife was not injured. The neighbor was no longer in the house and only the man and his 6-year-old son remained inside.

He has since come out and is in custody and the child is unharmed.

Police say 31-year-old Fabian Williams faces charges of domestic aggravated assault, felon possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammo and child abuse.

According to police, the couple is not married and she had two other younger children with her outside besides the 6-year-old boy he had with him.
