12 Air Conditioning Units Stolen In St. Pete

St. Petersburg Police are investigating the theft of 12 air conditioning units from various properties around the city including a church, small businesses and homes — most of which were vacant — the past three months. They say that the loss of a single one of these units is $3,500 to $5,000.

Due to the sizes of the units, detectives believe there is more than one suspect involved and they are using a truck or van to remove them.

According to police, the thieves may be selling the units as a whole or in parts. Sadly, there is no surveillance video in any of the cases.

If anyone has any information, please contact St. Petersburg Police 893-7780 or text… SPPD and a tip to TIP411.
