A Southwest Airlines jet from Raleigh-Durham to Tampa was forced to go back to the North Carolina airport this morning when a bird flew into one of the plane’s engines.
Officials say pilots chose to return to the airport as a precaution.
Another Boeing 737 is being rounded up to bring the 124 passengers and five crew to Tampa.
