Rapper Rick Ross Hospitalized for 2nd Time

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (AP) — Rapper Rick Ross reportedly remains hospitalized in Alabama after suffering two medical scares that required planes to be diverted.

Memphis basketball coach Josh Pastner told a crowd at a Friday night event that a private jet carrying Ross made an unscheduled landing in Birmingham, after the singer had a second medical problem in six hours.

Pastner says the 34-year-old Ross “got really sick again, and they had to rush him to the emergency room.”

Ross was previously aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Memphis, Tenn., that was returned to Florida after Ross suffered an unspecified medical problem. Ross was treated at a Fort Lauderdale hospital, and even tweeted afterward: “Memphis here I come.”

Ross’ condition was not immediately known early Saturday morning.
