President Obama speaks in Boston

BOSTON (AP) — If the bomber or bombers who struck the Boston Marathon were hoping to “intimidate” or “terrorize” Americans — President Barack Obama says they “picked the wrong city to do it.” He spoke in Boston today at an interfaith church service in tribute to the three people killed and more than 170 injured. Like the marathoners themselves, Obama said, “We may be momentarily knocked off our feet,” but that “we’ll pick ourselves up.”

BOSTON (AP) — Investigators are pressing the search today for one or two potential suspects who were spotted on video taken before the Boston Marathon bombings. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told lawmakers that the FBI wants to speak with individuals who were seen in at least one video, but she isn’t calling them suspects.
