Detectives responded to the call just before 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016. The location is a private residence at 2072 Whitney Drive, Largo.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the backyard of the property, subsequently entered a shed on the property, and engaged in a struggle with the homeowner.
The homeowner fired a shot injuring the suspect. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
