Police Called for Domestic Violence Find Meth Lab in Palm Harbor

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) _ A domestic violence call led Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies to what believe to be a meth lab.

Deputies responding to the 911 call about 3:45 p.m. Monday were met by a strong chemical odor as they entered a Palm Harbor home.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cecelia Barreda says a man threw chemicals at a woman in the house.

The man was arrested and the woman was not injured.

The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/HxJlKy ) reports one deputy was taken to the hospital after being overcome by the smell inside the home.

He was later released.

Detectives believe there was a meth lab operation at the home.

The names of the man and woman were not released.
