Plane Crash In Nashville Goes Unnoticed

Airplane_2013The mystery deepens surrounding a small plane crash that went unnoticed for hours in Nashville. According to a preliminary report, the pilot of a small, private plane filed a flight plan for a short trip within Canada and was not in touch with air traffic control. It was never supposed to be in the U.S. at all.

The National Transportation Safety Board says the report on the Oct. 29 crash is not final and could contain errors.

Investigators say the single-engine Cessna 172F could have crashed any time between about 2 a.m., when airport workers inspected the runways, and 8:45 a.m., when another pilot saw the wreckage while taxiing for departure.
