Patient Records Dumped At St. Pete Landfill

A shocking discovery at a local landfill.

Piles of patient medical records were found among other trash as the 114th Avenue North Pinellas County Solid Waste facility in St. Petersburg.

The records came from the Doctor’s Urgent Care Walk-In Clinic in St. Petersburg, which closed a year ago.

State law says records must be kept for 10 years before disposal.

The records found at the landfill contained sensitive information including names, addresses, and family medical histories.
