Pasco: Seven People Injured In House Fire

At approximately 6:39a.m., Pasco Fire Rescue responded to 18815 Old Shady Hills Road to a house fire, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.

Preliminary information shows seven people were in the home at the time, along with a dog. The ages of the occupants are an 80 y/o male, 63 y/o male, 61 y/o female, 42 y/o female, 35 y/o male, 5 y/o male, and 6 y/o male.

Police say there are no reports of fatalities, nor have they been able to confirm their conditions.

Two children were Bayflighted to a Tampa area hospital as a trauma alert, they were in route to Tampa General Hospital.

Two patients were transported by personal vehicle to a Spring Hill Hospital.

Animal control picked up the dog. They say it was a rat terrier that has third degree burns and they’re transporting it to St. Francis Vet clinic. They also say that there were eight other animals in the home. Unaccounted for at this time are two cats, two pomeranians, two chihuahuas, one lhasa apso and one husky.

All occupants received some type of injuries and the most serious were trauma alerted.

Th fire was declared under control at 7:52. Crews will be on scene for an extended period due to extensive overhaul needing to be completed.
