Pasco Police Confirm Missing Man’s Identity

Pasco Sheriff’s detectives say they have confirmed the identity of the body found in Tarpon Springs on Friday. They say it is that of a missing Citrus County man.

The body of Billy Shuler was identified through fingerprint analysis. His body was found by Pasco Sheriff’s deputies on Friday in a wooded area south of B21 Liquors in Tarpon Springs.

Shuler left his residence at 11 a.m. on May 21 to visit an acquaintance in Holiday. His wife reported him missing on May 22 and our investigation began. His truck was located outside a storage facility at 5334 Provost Drive,
Holiday, with evidence found inside the truck that suggests foul play.

Shuler was going to meet Anthony Maresca, possibly for a transaction on collectible coins.

Detectives are still searching for Maresca to question him about the disappearance of Shuler.
